"I’ve been a proud AFSCME member going on 7 years. I first joined when I realized I could be a part of the negotiating team for our contracts and advocate for my campus. Now I see all our voices being heard. We’ve won steady wage increases and got rid of the cap on our raises since we’re mostly hourly at my college. And when the state tried to get rid of our early retirement plan, we fought to keep it. We are organized and our college is better for it."
